Impala Ventures 2025 Impact Report: Driving Outcomes that are Real, Measurable, & Global

The built environment—especially commercial real estate—remains one of the world’s largest contributors to carbon emissions, water use, and energy demand. And yet, within this complex system lies a powerful opportunity for transformation. At Impala Ventures, we approach this challenge not with alarm, but with conviction. Our investments are rooted in the belief that systemic progress is possible—when innovation is directed thoughtfully, and when companies are built with both purpose and performance in mind.


Today, our portfolio companies operate in over 100 countries, on 4 continents, employing 5,098 full-time staff, and maintain 20% diversity in leadership—figures that we expect will continue to grow. This impact reaches 21.37 billion square feet of real estate assets and 5.7 million residential units. Finally are beginning to see what measured, collective change can look like.



2025 Impact Highlights


Water Conservation

  • More than 2.05 billion gallons of water are saved each year through Flume Water’s metering technologies.

  • AquaVita has deployed over 4,000 water purification systems and have purified 50 million gallons for drinking annually, expanding access to fresh, purified water throughout it's clients workplaces in East Africa.

  • In total, 40 million plastic bottles annually have been removed from use by our water-as-a-service innovations in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.

Carbon and Energy Performance

  • Nearly 500 million metric tons of CO₂ were tracked across our network in 2025.

  • With intelligent sensors, data tools, and infrastructure upgrades, the portfolio is projected to save 225 million metric tons of CO₂ in the coming years.

  • Our reach now includes 1,000 data centers (20 TW)—with air quality monitoring and contamination control led by DataClean—and 250 healthcare facilities, where Xanitos is advancing infection prevention and smart facilities management.

  • We also support 100 universities, where real-time space utilization and occupancy intelligence are powered by Occuspace saving higher ed institutions hundred of millions of dollars of additional capital investment through the more efficient space utilization of their current footprint.

Mobility and Clean Transportation

  • Clean-energy mobility is advancing, with a backlog of 2,897 hydrogen powertrains—a milestone driven by our investment in ZeroAvia, a pioneer in zero-emission aviation and heavy-duty transport technologies.

  • Zero Avia's advanced hydrogen technology will fuel the world's leading airlines, OEM's and airports into the future of mobility.

Smart Building Automation

  • The portfolio now includes 40,000 deployed robots, improving building performance, safety, and operational efficiency. This progress is powered by platforms like Brain Corp, a leader in autonomous robotics, and Friendly Robots, whose human-centered automation solutions are transforming the built environment.

  • 162,000 commercial real estate assets are actively monitored through platforms like Measurabl and Blue Auditor, which—alongside Zan Compute—have deployed over 1.2 million IoT sensors and automated 8 million utility meters across our network.

  • Across 5.7 million multifamily units, HappyCo is leveraging advanced AI to streamline tenant service, optimize maintenance workflows, and enhance resident satisfaction. At the same time, Looq.ai is enabling engineering and design firms to simulate and plan complex infrastructure projects using detailed 3D capture of real-world conditions. These technologies are the foundation of the digital real estate that is being built.

  • Our disaster recovery platform Agility Recovery responded to hundreds of fires, storms, earthquakes and cyber events providing a vital solutions for companies dealing with the impacts of climate driven and natural disasters.

  • For aging populations, companies like Urbaneer are designing and building innovative micro housing units with a lense towards ergonomics and using sustainable construction materials.

  • And in our latest investment news, we have announced our investment in Solid Surface Care, the leading architectural restoration and maintenance company that has been committed to environmental stewardship for decades through the use of low moisture and low VOC restoration methods. 


Capital & Impact

  • Companies in our portfolio are estimated to reach $664 million in revenue in 2025 with over $150 million in ARR for our software companies, with a combined enterprise value exceeding $5.0 billion. 

  • Our portfolio companies have collectively raised $1.2 billion in capital to support the growth of mission-driven platforms.

  • The global built environment of real estate asset our companies impact represent over $5.22 trillion in total asset value.
